NOW ACCEPtING new clients AND FAMILIES
About Me
I was born and raised in Texas and currently live in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas (#57924) and California (#102158). I work with young adults, adults, and families on all kinds of emotional and relationship issues.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas and a master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston in Houston, Texas. After graduate school I completed a postgraduate fellowship in psychodynamic theory at The Council on Recovery in Houston. I have been working as a social worker since 2013 and have been fully licensed since 2015.
My career has taken me to Boston and Los Angeles, where I built clinical programs and led teams. Having worked for both The Menninger Clinic and Ellenhorn over the past ten years, I understand the importance of offering person-centered, creative and effective therapy to individual clients and families.
My Therapeutic Approach
My orientation is based in the foundations of Psychodynamic psychotherapy and Mentalization. However, I draw from other modalities to appropriately address the specific needs of the clients I work with.
While every person I see is unique, a consistent mindset I bring to my work is a deep respect for people’s desire to change what isn’t working in their lives. Whether you’re overwhelmed, going through a difficult season in your life, depressed or anxious, perhaps a warm, honest partnership may be the best way to help you navigate through these life stressors. Whatever you’re struggling with, I want to help you get what you came to therapy for: another perspective in the room, new insight, and the possibility of real change.
