Individual Therapy
Starting therapy can feel exciting, scary, or uncertain, and that’s completely normal. It’s a space to be seen, heard, and understood, where even small insights can feel meaningful. I bring a curious, direct, and grounded approach to helping people with their day-to-day situations or struggles, drawing from my training in psychodynamic therapy and mentalization. My style is relational, flexible, and collaborative. I bring warmth, compassion, and sometimes humor to help people feel more comfortable entering the therapeutic space.
Through our work together, the hope is that we begin to notice patterns in your experiences, helping you gain insight, make sense of challenges, and start responding in ways that feel more empowering. We will identify important steps toward increasing self-care and coping skills to best support our work outside of the therapeutic hour.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and complete an intake. Together, we’ll explore your goals, create a treatment plan that feels right for you, and decide how often to meet. Each session lasts 50 minutes, giving us space to reflect, explore, and make progress at a pace that works for you.
Family Therapy
Families often enter therapy during times of significant distress or crisis. Sometimes, one person in the family system is identified as “the problem” by acting out or disrupting the family norm. My role is to join you in exploring the family system with curiosity, helping everyone hold multiple perspectives while ensuring that all family members have a voice.
Together, we work to create a space that feels safe enough to talk openly about what is really happening within the system. I respect each family’s unique culture and believe all families have strengths that can support meaningful change. Through our work, we build coping skills and a shared toolkit to manage emotional reactions, with the goal of leaving therapy with healthier and more effective ways to navigate family relationships moving forward.
In the first family session, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and creating a space where everyone feels heard and respected. We’ll explore what brings your family to therapy, listen to each person’s perspective, and begin to understand the patterns and dynamics within the family rather than focusing on a single “problem.” Together, we’ll clarify goals for our work, discuss how sessions will be structured, and identify strengths within the family that can support meaningful change moving forward.
Parent and Caregiver Support
Having worked for many years in young adult treatment programs with families, I also offer virtual parent support and coaching for loved ones who have adult children struggling with mental health challenges, substance use, or difficulty “launching” into independence.
These sessions differ from traditional therapy, though they can be highly therapeutic. I bring the same curious, collaborative approach I use in therapy while offering more coaching, guidance, and practical strategies to help you navigate complex family dynamics, set healthy boundaries, and support your loved one effectively. Together, we focus on building clarity, confidence, and actionable steps so you can feel more empowered in your role as a parent or caregiver.
In our first session, we’ll get to know each other and discuss the challenges you’re facing with your loved one. We’ll clarify your goals for coaching and create a plan that feels practical and achievable. Each session lasts 50 minutes, giving us space to reflect, explore strategies, and work toward real-world solutions that support both you and your loved one.
